A small installation and a large-scale biogas facility follow the same biological principle, but differ in preparation, digester sizing, gas treatment, controls and energy systems.
We study feedstock reliability, operating requirements, available infrastructure and responsible use of digestate before proposing an appropriate technology pathway.

Clear legal pathways and trustworthy measurement are essential. Avoided emissions and carbon credits are not the same as the headline carbon tax.

R308 / tCO₂e
South Africa's headline carbon tax rate for 2026, before applicable allowances. This is not the selling price of a carbon credit and does not mean a project will earn R308 per tonne avoided.
Why it mattersCarbon policy can encourage emissions accounting, cleaner processes and demand for eligible offsets. The economics depend on project-specific regulation, evidence, certification and market conditions.
